What I Brought Home Yesterday

Yesterday my mom, Joy, and I visited The Antique Gallery/Fleamarket. It was just oozing with all sorts of great prim items that I would have loved to bring home with me. However, I only came home with two. I try to stick with the immediate decorating project at hand (whatever room I'm focused on decorating at the time) when I go shopping.

So.....I did for the first purchase. We've been turning our attention lately to the sunporch and the outdoor landscaping/decor. This little red wagon was perfect for the bench area in our backyard. I'm going shopping today for flowers. I'll share pictures later when I get a chance to work on it and decorate more out there.

Here's my little red wagon:

Okay....for the second purchase, I didn't exactly stick to the decorating task at hand...or did I? I can't really decide where to put this or quite how to use it or what to display on it. I just know that I loved it! It was a little Americana stepladder that was outside on the porch of The Antique Gallery. Those items out there usually go fast, so I snatched it up.

So where would YOU put it...inside or out? I have a place on each side of my piano that needs a special prim touch or I could use it outside. Any ideas on what to put on it? Hmmmm.....

I have 2 wagons out in my yard...but nothing in them. :( Your little ladder would look great in or out. I see potted plants on it for outside and for inside: stacking boxes and a prim doll. Great finds during your little flea market trip! Have a great weekend!

FUN FUN! I love the old wagon - reminds me of the ones I had at my preschool and I loved pulling the kids around.

I like the idea of the ladder outside with pots of red geraniums - but anyway you use it will look great.

hugs, Linda

Love the wagon, I'd put red geraniums in it or impatients maybe white ones. The ladder I'd use outside for now and when cold weather comes I'd take it inside and do what Kindra suggests. Love them both! Great finds.

As soon as I saw the pic of your lil' red wagon I thought to myself....oh, I hope she's going to put flowers in that! I can't wait to see the finished project. As for your ladder, it would look look great with a container of red and white petunias and blue salvia sitting on top.
Thanks for visiting my blog today.

oooo what nice little treasures! I have an old wagon filled with herbs right now. It was the wagon that used to pull Colton around when he didn't have such long legs! LOL

And what a clever way to paint an old ladder. I like the idea of potted plants on it. So cute!

Smiles,
Lea
