Watcha Workin' on Wednesday

Today for Watcha Workin' on Wednesday sponsored by Leslie from My Country Home, I wanted to show you a little something I've been working on for the last couple of days. It's definitely not a major redo or home improvement project like some of you are working on right now, but I've done well to work on it between dental appointments! I've had a root canal with complications (as in pain) and I'm going back in this morning for yet another appointment.

I still need to add the distressing primitive touches to it...but this is what it looks like for now. Well you know how I feel about Americana, so can you guess?

Yep, an Americana Flag....with all the cute ones floating around, I had to give it a try! I'm learning as I go! I'll like it much better once I get it primmed up!

Also I have a little suprise coming up by the end of the week that we're working on, so be sure and check back! I am really excited to share it with you!

I was also given a blog award by 3 different sweet ladies! I'm very honored that you chose me and you made me feel very special! Thank you so much for the award! You truly made my day! Thanks Lisa of Black Sheep Prims, Beth of Raggedy Angel and Mary of Gettysburg Homestead.

The rules for receiving this award are:

1) Put the logo on your blog.
2) Add a link to the person who awarded you.
3) Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4) Add links to those blogs on yours.
5) Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs.

I honestly love reading everyone's blogs. I love visiting you everyday! And I know several of you could have gotten this award already and I'm trying to think of some that I know haven't yet but are well deserving, but if you get it again, just know that you're special and loved!

So for my 7....

And in no particular order either:
1) Julie of Gingerbread Pumpkin
2) Julie of Country Girl at Heart
3) Angie of Sandals and Daisies
4) Stephanie of The Hearts of Hartmann
5) Colleen of And Baby Makes Five
6) Tammy of Family Doins
7) Katy of The Country Blossom

And my list of deserving blogs could go on and on...but the rules say 7, so I'll stop there.

I hope you all have a great day! Be sure and come back so I can tell you about our little surprise!

~ Tammy ~

Tammy, you did a wonderful job on your flag.
I read your post on Liberty. You and your family did a wonderful thing taking her in. I'm sure she steals food because she's had to fend for herself. She's very cute and looks so happy with her new family! :)

Dear Tammy....I am SO honored that I was one of your recipients....thank you so much!
I haven't forgotten the other award you gave me, either...I plan on acknowledging both of these on Friday at the start of my Show and Tell post! :D

I love, love this beautiful Americanna flag you're working on! I can just imagine it with the distressed look, too!

I can so sympathize with your root canal problems...I remember having to wait until some paperwork came through before I could get mine done and enduring several days of intense pain. I was pretty much living on advils! I'll say a prayer that all goes well with the follow-up procedure!

Hugs!

Tammy,
Eww sorry on the root canal. I don't like those. Good luck with all that dental work.
I love your flag I can't wait to see it finished. Please post a picture of it when you get done. Do you do your own cutting of the wood? My sweetie just got my work bench done and my tools in place to start working on wood projects again. Here in Arizona it is so hot this time of the year I will be cutting at 4:00am. hehe
Thank you for your kind post on my blog. I have been spending a lot of time scrapping and not enough painting. It is so addictive Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Hi Tammy! Congrats on the award! Sorry to hear about your root canal problems. I can truly sympathize! I had had 3 done in the past. The first 2 I had done back in my teens - no problems with them. But I had my 3rd one back in 2003, and boy was that painful. I hope I never have one ever again. Hope your appt went well!
