Pinned it, Made it! Monday ~ Week 3 ~

I’m so glad you stopped by and joined me today for Pinned it, Made it! Monday. And thank you to all my blogging friends that jumped in and participated last week!

If this is your first time here and you’re wondering what Pinned it, Made it! Monday is all about, it’s simple. It’s motivation and encouragement to share something that we’ve pinned on Pinterest and then actually followed through with! If you’re like me, you probably have way more pins than you’ll actually follow through with and make, use, or try. But hopefully by looking forward to sharing here with on Mondays, it will help me along with my follow-through! I hope it will do the same for you! Besides, I can’t wait to see what YOU’VE been pinning and making!

It can be anything you’ve pinned and actually followed through with, made, or tried………whether that be a recipe, a craft, a sewing project, a photography tip, a home decorating idea, organizational idea, home improvement project, exercise routine, household tips, a purchase, anything.

Now…..on to what I pinned and made and have to share today……. I have a board on Pinterest called Fun with Food. It mixes crafts with food. That’s where you can find this pin. And while you’re there, I'd love for you you to come follow me on Pinterest too!  :)  Here’s the pin from Pinterest (which originally came from kidspot.com.au).

I knew Luke would love to make these because he loves anything with wheels and he loves food, so this was right up his alley!  And I thought since my niece, Laci, is here visiting for the week, it was the perfect thing for them to do. Joy even enjoyed it along with them.

Here’s what you need:

A bag of the miniature Milk Way candy bars (Also used a couple of these for the "glue")
Miniature Teddy Graham Crackers (We used the cinnamon flavor)
Bag of M & M's

There’s a little preparation in order for things to go smoothly and so that the kids can just reach for what they need and have it close at hand.

♥ Open your candy bars and put them out on a plate.

♥ Cut the teddies (the same amount as you have in candy bars) in half right at the belly button (so they’ll look like they’re sitting and driving instead of standing). I know poor teddies, right?  :(  Place in a bowl for them to have easy access.

♥  Cut the the same amount of M & M’s in half. Those will be the steering wheels. Put those in a bowl also.

♥ Empty the rest of your M & M’s into a bowl.

♥ Now it calls for melting milk chocolate to use as the “glue”. I just melted 2 of the Milky Way bars in the microwave. I think it took about 8 seconds or so. I stirred that up and it made a great glue.

♥ Now they have all their bowls at hand and can start building their cars using the Milky Way glue.

♥ Add 4 whole M & M’s for the wheels. The half M & M for the steering wheel and of course, Mr. (or Ms. Teddy) behind the wheel. And that’s it!

This would make a great treat for a birthday party, school snack, or just for fun like we did!

Those that have a few scrapes and dents and look like they've been in a fender bender would be Luke's.  :)

It was a hit at our house!

They all look a little scraggly after an afternoon of swimming and bike riding.  :)
