Faithful Friday - "A Beautiful Old Hymn"

Today for Faithful Friday, I'm sharing an old hymn that's been on my mind and playing in my head this past week.  I've always loved it and the lyrics speak volumes of wisdom!  I do love all the praise songs and the songs of KLove, but I miss hearing these old hymns every Sunday!

Let Others See Jesus in You........ (That's my desire)!

Let Others See Jesus in You

While passing thro' this world of sin,
and others your life shall view,
Be clean and pure without, within;
Let others see Jesus in you.

 Your life's a book before their eyes,
They're reading it thro' and thro'
Say, does it point them to the skies,
Do others see Jesus in you?

 Then live for Christ both day and night,
Be faithful, be brave and true,
and lead the lost to life and Christ.
Let others see Jesus in you.

(Chorus)
Let others see Jesus in you,
Let others see Jesus in you.
Keep telling the story, be faithful and true;
Let others see Jesus in you.

That is a blast from the past! I miss the old hymns--the church I attend now doesn't use the hymn books anymore, mostly praise songs. I remember this song quite well and singing it through the week after hearing it on Sunday. Victory in Jesus is another favorite of mine.

This is a beautiful old song, Tammy~ I haven't heard it in years!! Thanks for sharing the words~ now I'll be humming it the rest of the day.
You should make some videos of you playing these wonderful old songs on the piano and post them here~ I know it would be a hit because I for one would love to hear you!! :)

Beautiful Tammy. My hubby asked me, before he left, if I miss singing the hymns in church, as our church rarely sings hymns. I told him not really because I sing them all day long. I love how some mornings I just wake up singing one.

Beautiful Tammy, thank you for sharing it.

I've been so busy and haven't had a chance to come and say hi, things have finally slowed down so I'm glad I get to come around.

Hope you're all doing well.
Blessings,
Sandra
