Thank you all so much for the sweet comments yesterday on my 5 year blogging anniversary post.  I'm so blessed to have met so many wonderful friends through blogging!

As I promised yesterday, I'm hosting a giveaway in celebration of my 5 year blogging anniversary. 

Are you ready for it?

For my giveaway, Jason made a table bench that's almost identical to the one he made for me that adorns the center of our breakfast table (which I love).  It is painted black and distressed with New England Red.

If you would like to enter my giveaway, there are several ways you can do so......And you can tell me about all the way you are entering on one comment.  I'll be picking the winner this time the old-fashioned way - drawing out a winner by hand.  :)

♥ 5 Year Blogging Anniversary ♥

In some ways, it feels like the time has just flown since I started blogging, yet at the same time, I feel like I've known many of you forever!  My family hears me talk about blogging friends and they know many of you by name (or blogging name at least).  I've met so many friends through blogging, some that are actually bloggers and others that don't blog but we've come to know each other through emailing back and forth.  I'm thankful for each one of you....and for your friendship! 

Today is my 5 year blogging anniversary!  My first post was written on May 14, 2008.  I look back and see that Colt (my oldest) had just graduated high school the year before (2007), so he was 18, and Joy had just turned 9 years old.  Little Luke wasn't even in the picture then.  We began the journey to bring him home from China in the fall of 2009. Wow!  It's been quite an adventure and I love blogging.  It is something that I look forward to every day!  :)

Blogging Anniversary Giveaway!

It's hard to believe it's been two years since I started my blog. Here's my first post, if you weren't in blogland back then. I have met so many sweet and generous bloggers, as well as others that email me. You are all such a blessing to me....really! I talk about you like you live next door. My family knows who I'm talking about.....sometimes I might have to add the name of your blog or how I know, you behind the name, but mostly they just are accustomed to hearing me talk about my blogging buddies and readers. Thank you....all of you.....that make a visit to my blog a part of your day or week, or even occasionally popping in. I appreciate it so much and I really look forward to hearing from you!

In honor of my two year blogging anniversary, I would like to hold another giveaway. This is a set of 24" shutters that Jason made. They are painted a barn red and distressed with black.

Although I would love to open the giveaway to everyone everywhere, because of shipping costs, I must limit it to those within the US.

My 200th Post.........Giveaway Time!

It's hard to believe this is my 200th post! But...it really is...and to celebrate, Jason and I have put together a little giveaway, along with the help of my stitchin'-machine-friend, Betty! Here's what's included:



The black colonial shelf of course was built by Jason. It turned out a little more distressed than we meant for it to be....we were kind of experimenting. However, if it's too distressed or primitive for the winner, you can always give it a coat of paint to your liking! (By the way, it's about 16" x 12".)



The primitive "Believe" angel was stitched and donated by my Ozark friend, Betty. All I had to do with it was the tea staining, painting, and distressing of the frame. (She actually brought me lots of stitcheries...I'll share on another post). It's a fairly large stitchery - 11 1/2" x 12".



And last of all is the wooden Goodwill pineapple makeover (painted) by me. It's about 8" tall from the top leaf to the bottom of the pineapple.



My first post was published on May 14, 2008....almost a year ago. For that reason, I would like to do my giveaway drawing on that anniversary date, which only gives you today and tomorrow to enter! I would like to invite you to go back with me and read my very first post. In some ways it seems like yesterday and in others, like a lifetime. I feel like I've made so many new friends and my life is all the richer for it. I really enjoy writing and sharing my faith, family, home, and homeschooling adventures. Thank you for taking this journey with me! To know that anyone else reads and enjoys what I share is such a joy to me, and humbling too. Thank you with a big hug attached! :)
