Goodies in the Mail!

Who doesn't love goodies in the mail?

Within this week, we've had three packages....two surprises and one order....and we were thrilled about each one!  We love it around here when the mail lady honks....that means a package too big for the mailbox!

First of all, my bloggin' buddy, Linda, did the sweetest thing.  She said it was an experiment.  She read where I had never seen bittersweet before and that to my knowledge it didn't grow around here.  She decided that had to change.....I must see some and have some to add to my fall decor!  So she just boxed some up and sent it my way!  After she sent it, she was a little concerned about how it would arrive because it came during the hot spell we had.  But it was fine!  Some of the leaves were wilted, but the berries were perfect.  I was so excited to get that box!

Joy and I picked and cut berries from the branches and have been sprinkling them throughout the fall decor in our home.  To me, bittersweet adds to fall decor what holly berries and pine branches do to Christmas decor!  I love the splash of color those little burnt orange berries add!  Thank you so much, Linda!  (I'll be taking pics to show our fall decor this week sometime).

Next, was a package addressed to Luke.

My friend, Melissa and her beautiful daughter, Sofie, knew just what would make Luke extremely happy...wooden construction vehicles!  This was his first time to have a package arrive in the mail addressed to him only.....he tore into it and his reaction was "Cool"!
He's played with it constantly!  Thank you Melissa and Sofie!  You made one little boy here very happy this week!  :)

Last, but not least, I recently found Carmen's selling blog, Orchard Hollow.  I thought her apple cider and molasses soap sounded perfect for my upstairs bathroom that we're working on, so I placed an order right away.  I got my package super fast and I love this soap....it smells so yummy and will look great in there!  She even included an extra snowman tart melt! Thank you so much, Carmen!

I can't wait until the bathroom all comes together with all the accessories!

Until next time when I hope to be back with some indoor fall decor pics, have a great week and thanks for stopping by!  :)

How exciting Tammy to be getting so many unexpected and expected goodies in the mail. I just purchased 3#'s of Bittersweet from Ebay last week. It is drying in the basement. I pulled the leaves off all mine though. I loved watching the berries burst open.
What a nice play toy for Luke. What boy doesn't just love wooden toys!
Enjoy your decorating and I look forward to seeing pictures when you get everything set out.
Blessings,
AMY

So sweet to see Luke w/ his gift - I love wooden toys! So much better than the plastic ones in my opinion. Sounds like you are getting everything set up for fall - I'm anxious to see what your decorations look like - post photos soon! :-)

Our pleasure! We've been looking and looking and looking for just the right thing. I think he can take them apart and put them back together? Thought he would love that. Glad he is enjoying them! Goodies in the mail are always a treat!
Let's get these two on Skype soon!
