Homepage Cutie!

Imagine my surprise today, when I clicked over to one of the yahoo support groups where I'm a member (one for children adopted from Inner Mongolia, China) to find that Luke's picture has been featured on the homepage...or what is called the "homepage cutie"! You've all seen this picture before, so just bear with me again. I"m just so excited! It was one from his 2nd birthday party that was given by his foster parents for him.

You can click here to see it!

And just because it really bothers me to NOT have a picture to show with this actual post, I'm going to show you another picture we just received along with a letter (that we are waiting on to be translated). It came with four new pictures of him. I was waiting to share all four pictures when I had the letter translated, along with any updated information. However, because I just can't stand it, I'll save three of them, and share one of them with you today!

It's hard to tell if this is actually a new recent photo or just one they decided to send me! I know that the birthday pictures are recent because they were taken on his actual birthday. Other than that, these could have been before or after. However, it doesn't matter....I'm just so glad to have them! Every picture of the time before we get him is precious to have!

Here he is! Look at those cheeks! The part I could read on the letter, I'm sure was his measurements in cms and kgs. I converted them and he's 35 inches tall and 36 lbs! He's a big boy!

I'll share the other pictures as soon as I have the letter translated with the updated info!

Thanks for stopping by! It's really nice of you because I know it's not nearly as interesting and exciting to other folks as it is to me as Luke's mama! I really do appreciate you! Thanks for the comments. I appreciate each and every one!

What a cutie! Your posts about Luke are anything but boring. They are inspirational! The faith you show and the trust in God that you have gives all of you readers hope. We all are overjoyed that this little boy is coming into your life, so keep the post coming.

I can't wait to see more pictures and hear what the letter said!

Tammy:
What a thrill to have Luke in your support groups pictures..I want to share a sweet memory I have of our Josh. He was three and going to Awana at their church. Deb ( Mom ) was always teaching him and he was learning his memory verse for that week.which was " BRING UP A CHILD IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO....While playing she always would say" what is your memory verse, Josh" and after several times that day, again she ask him and he quickly replied.." Bring him up and "away he'lllll goooo "
and threw up his little hands. She sent it into their Adoption News and they printed it..
SO see... what sweet memories you will always have.. Josh is now 18 and has been accepted to two different colleges..
Blessings,
Maurine

Oh, how wonderful, Tammy!

This must be the week for happy adoption news! Our dear friends called last night to say that Baby Milo is thriving (5 months old and 23 lbs.!) and they are very much enjoying him. Their journey was a rough one and they lost 3 babies prior to Milo when the birth mothers changed their minds just before being discharged from the hospital. Our friends were present when each of these babies were born and their hearts were so broken.

Fortunately their many prayers were answered in November and I'm so glad you're getting closer every day too...

He really is a cutie. How much longer before you have him instead of just pictures. I know you are so ready.

Tammy of course it is interesting. We all can't wait for you to hold that little guy in your arms and hug him and kiss him....and hug him some more! Big smile. We all love holding little babies close to our chest and we can only imagine how wonderful and special when you get to hold him all the time!

Oh Tammy!!! Luke is just so cute!! He is a big boy. If his measurements are correct, he is way bigger than Lizzie and she is almost 4!! It is so wonderful to get those new pics and helps to make the wait a little more bearable:)
