After giving remodeling the staircase and giving it a new rustic flare, the foyer (that houses the stairs) just needed a a new look. Plus, my mom had always admired that bench that has always been in the foyer, so I just gave it to her. :)
During the Christmas season, I had my big fireside chair in the foyer, to make room for the big Christmas tree where the chair usually is. So, when Christmas was over, that sort of left the foyer bare with the bench gone.
Since it will take a while deciding on and collecting what I want to adorn the staircase, I looked around my house to see what I could come up with for the foyer.
This is what I came up with:
The stove is normally used either in our bedroom or at the end of the hall, but it's found a new home for now. I purchased the the gameboard awhile back with birthday money. I've been waiting on more gameboards to display as a collection, but I really loved it here. Although I kind of like it just resting on the stove right now, I plan on hanging it on the wall behind the stove.
Sometimes you just have to shop around the house for a fresh look. I think it cozied up the foyer and it makes me happy. :)

♥ Aglow ♥
Come on in today! We’re going to dream a little about setting our homes “aglow”.
Thanks to Pinterest, I’m finding the coolest ways to repurpose items into cozy lighting! I had to create a board especially for my finds because, of course, I hope to use some of these ideas someday.
But for today, we’re just going to ooh and aahh…..at least I am. Maybe you’ll get to making or purchasing one of these before I do, and if you do, I’d love to see it!
Are you ready? Here we go…….
How about lighting made from a colander? Just imagine the designs that will be cast on your ceiling!
Or lighting using bowls…….like these yellowware ones?
Or terra cotta pot pendant lights?
Or galvanized bucket lighting?
Funnels……..oohh......these are really rustic……I can imagine one hanging over a kitchen sink in a primitive or farmhouse décor.
How about those very versatile mason jars…..they make wonderful lighting in so many ways…..for the kitchen or bathroom….
Or with Christmas lights inside them for the back porch……
I love these graters with candles tucked inside for a cozy centerpiece!
I can just imagine this metal basket converted lighting over a kitchen island…….
This would be so sweet in a child or even teenager’s room over their bed……or maybe even on a back porch……hula hoop lighting with Christmas lights……
Talk about repurposing…..this lamp is made from a vintage stovetop toaster and a colander……isn't it great?
And I have a big thing for lanterns……love this for outside lighting…..
Aren’t they all wonderful? Do you have a favorite?
Thanks for joining me today and dreaming (and maybe even planning a future lighting project) along with me! :)
**I'm also joining Cindi's Whole Lotta Love Party** I do LOVE all these aglow ideas! :)

♥ Warm and Cozy ♥
On a cold (and snowy if we’re lucky) wintry day, it just doesn’t get any better than being snugly nestled in our home, all warm and cozy, right?
So I thought we would do just that today……get all warm and cozy (thanks to my Warm and Cozy Pinterest board). :)
So come on......grab yourself a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and imagine yourself here – curled up with a good book or magazine.
Enjoy! :)
Now, aren’t you relaxed? So which one is your favorite?
Have a warm and cozy day! :)

♥ Oh My! ♥
I thought I’d share a few things that make the “Oh My” list. These are just a few of things that make my heart go pitter patter…..things that I love……that that I love being surrounded with……things that are “me”.
Most of the following pics were pulled from my Pinterest board, Be Still My Heart, as well as some other boards.
So.....here we go, in no particular order..... :)
Claw foot tub....and in a cabin at that.......
And maybe one of my very favorites.....true love. The caption for this one on Pinterest read, "This is why you marry your best friend". Love it.........
These are just a sampling of my "Oh My" list. What's on your list? :)
