Rascal Visits Again!

I was beginning to think that Mama Rabbit really scolded Rascal, her very curious and adventurous son, for coming to visit us so often and just maybe he'd been grounded, when Joy spotted him the other evening! He had grown up a bit in the last couple of weeks! He was out there snacking in the backyard! (In our badly need of mowing backyard...I might add...it's been too wet to mow until last night.) I slipped around the other side of the carport to try to get a shot of him!

Here he is a little closer....isn't he cute? Look at those ears straight up....I wonder what that means in rabbit language?

He almost seemed to pose for me....sitting long enough for me to get my shots....
(Remember you can click on the pictures to get a closer view).

then off he hopped with that cute little cotton tail in the air!

I guess next time we see him, he'll be grown up!

And while I'm speaking of our backyard visitor, I thought I'd share a few photos of my knockout rose bushes back there too.

We set them out last year and they've done really well and I love looking out of my kitchen bay window to the splash of color!

Oh and one more thing.....I'd like to thank Angie (Sandals and Daisies) for thinking of me with this super cool award!

I love visiting Angie's blog every chance I get...I love the way she writes! She is one of the most creative people I've ever "met" and she knows how to do it stretching a dollar! Thanks so much for the award, Angie, my friend! :)

Now I usually ignore the rules because I hate to have to pick and choose and because so many of my fellow bloggers are award free, but today, I've decided to actually (sort of) follow the rules and pick four. (The rules really say three and to link back to the person who gave it to you). I know four deserving young ladies to whom I'd like to give this award:

My daughter, Joy, of Doodlebug

Amber of Patchwork Angel

Thoughts From a Southern Girl

Madison of Mad Crafts

I really enjoy reading these girls' blogs! Way to go girls, you all are super cool bloggers! I know you're not mommies, but it's coming to you from a mommy and you are all future mommies! Keep up the good work on your blogs!

Have a great Tuesday, everyone! :)

  1. Rascal is cute! I like watching all the bunnies around our yard. Your knockout roses are so pretty. I have two of them in my front garden, but they haven't bloomed yet. I wish they'd hurry!:-) I just love them! I hope you have a great day Tammy!

  2. Hi Tammy, rabbit ears straight up means " high alert", so Rascal's momma taught him well! Glad to see he's still coming to see you, sad to say but I've read the average life span of wild rabbits is 5-6 months due to their prey status:( Your roses are beautiful! I just got a knockout rose at Home depot, I'm anxious to see how it does, although the japanese beatles have been terrible here for the last few years:( Have a lovely day!

  8. Hi Tammy!
Thanks for giving my DD's Blog (Thoughts From A Southern Girl)
an award!! That made her smile... :)
    She said...."Awwwwwhhh, That's so sweet of her!"(you)
I know she'll post a comment back to you when she has a chance....

She's had to leave to go help her Poppy get ready to rake hay....
She's going to drive a tractor and pull this piece behind it that kind of "fluffs" the hay up where it will "cure" quicker so he can get it raked and baled....
    That's my southern girl!!!

Thanks again for thinking of her and have a blessed day!

  9. I think Rascal has some cousins here in Chaffee. Last night the dog was looking out our bedroom window and just went crazy barking. Our mama rabbit had a couple new babies out and about. They couldn't of been but a handful.

Your roses look beautiful. Bet they smell as good as they look.

    Take Care,
    Debbie

  13. Tammy Rascal is so cute, he looks like Peter Rabbit. Dear Hubby always wants to go hunting when he sees a rabbit, he says they eat up the garden, but when I see one I don't say a word, they are so cute.
Congrats on the award and how sweet to pass it on to the younger girls. I love to read their blogs too.

I had a cat named rascal. But he wasn't! He was a doll baby.

  16. I think Rascal's family is living up north here in my backyard! We have tons of rabbits, which explains the need for a fence around our vegie garden! I love your roses. We also planted quite a few of them in our front yard, they haven't bloomed yet, but they are so pretty and easy to grow! Congrats on your award, your blog is AWESOME!!!

  21. Hi Tammy!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. It was good to hear from you. I certainly loved being able to find those things. Who would have thought.

Your rose bush is gorgeous. One of the ladies at church, who is my prayer partner, gave a new one to plant. I am looking forward to doing that soon.

What a little cutie. We have lots of animals around here too. I am trying to attract red birds to my house but have not had any luck. I'd like to get a hummingbird or two to come as well.

    Have a great day.

    Blessings and Perfect Prims,
    Stacey

And now that he has a name, how will you ever be rid of him? Do you garden? Do bunnies like green veggies? Yes, they do......
