Or maybe God just wanted to make us slow down and enjoy another one of His creations! I love it when He provides a little nature lesson for us to enjoy!
Tuesday after we came out of gym (our homeschooling co-op meeting), this little birdie was sitting right on our windshield wiper peering into the car.
Nothing scared her. We opened and shut doors, talked to her, and came closer and closer. She just sat there and stared in the window at us, almost intrigued with us.
Maybe she wanted a ride?
Or a new home?
She let me get this close with my phone to take a pic and just turned her head whichever way I went to take her picture.
Then she just down right posed for me. My phone was literally inches from her.
She made me smile with her cute little dignified self. :)
We had to leave for home, so we finally got a stick for her to sit on and she sort of stood on it a second and then flew away up into the tree.
It gave me the perfect opportunity to stop and discuss with my kids about how God provides for the birds, and at how much more He loves us, His children, and how He surely takes care of us!
Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Oh My, how sweet, I believe the little birdie to be a young Robin......sure hope it was safe after you put it down, Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteSweet! At first I thought maybe it was hurt but thankfully it flew away. Love how it posed for you! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's a baby robin. Most likely just learned to fly and was all tuckered out from a short flight. I'm glad he could fly back into the tree. Robin's are not scary birds even as adults. A mother is sitting on a nest in my potting shed right now and watches us as we come in and out.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww. You are in favor with the birds lately aren't you. :) So sweet a moment.

How wonderful to have a moment to slow down and enjoy gods gifts!!
ReplyDeleteMama,
ReplyDeleteThat was so neat! :) It was a cute little bird, and he/she did look kind of stubborn, too. :) I don't think I've ever been able to get that close to a bird without it flying away! :) Just a little "God smile" for us that day. :)
Love you! 8!
Love,
Joy :)
That is so sweet!Hugs,Jen
ReplyDeleteAwwwww.... these pictures are SO SWEET, Tammy!!
ReplyDeleteI think she might have had a nest of babies nearby and wanted to make sure you weren't going to mess with them. *haha*
Oh how cute!
ReplyDeleteHow neat that you were able to get so close and get a pic. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWe should always use each opportunity to teach our young ones about God's gifts to us. This was such a golden opportunity to do so! Love this post... thanks for visiting and your sweet comment!

Looks like a young bird that just left the nest. Nice that you were able to get that close. We had a close encounter with a water snake in our garage. It hissed at Bob...not poisonous but aggressive. I will take that cute lil birdie any time. Janice
ReplyDeleteI always love "a gift" like this from God.
ReplyDeleteGreat lesson......thank you, Tammy.
ReplyDeletePS- It looks like a baby robin.
ReplyDeleteWOW I am surprised she let you get that close. I love little blessing from God. They just make my day brighter.
