If you give a little girl sidewalk chalk, chances are she'll draw flowers, hearts, rainbows and such.
If you give a little boy sidewalk chalk, he takes a different approach.......he draws things like roads, stop signs, traffic lights, railroad tracks, and neighborhoods. And so my little one did. :) He worked SO diligently.
Then a beautiful afternoon calls for getting dirty, of course. He spent just as long playing with his construction equipment in the sandbox.
And then what do you think he did?
He brought his mama "flowers" fresh from the yard.
And of course, that definitely put a smile on this mama's face. :)

Oh Tammy, your son is just adorable! His smile melts my heart. Beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteHe is so precious! One lucky little boy, I'd say :)
ReplyDeleteYou are completely right! I constantly have roads drawn on my driveway and used to have flowers and hearts with my daughter. :) My son is starting to spell now so I am seeing his name and other various words here and there. I saw fart on my front porch...wonder what my mailman thinks ;)
ReplyDeleteGive those cheeks a squeeze for me!
Sweet! I love being able to take the kids out to play.
ReplyDeleteMama,
ReplyDeleteI love all the things he draws. :) So creative! He's our little man. ;)
Love you! 8!
Love,
Joy :)

ReplyDeleteYour little boy is so cute and very creative, too! I bet when he brought you those flowers, you just melted.
ReplyDeleteHe is precious. Darbee enjoyed seeing the pictures too. It's neat that you showed a picture of the flowers he picked for you. I have a jar of yellow flowers sitting in my living room that Darbee picked for me while playing outside the other day. What fun times.
ReplyDeleteOh...I remember those days...but my little boy is 46 now. His Dad and I can not believe it. But he was the sweetest little guy just like your Luke. If our Tim could get dirty he was so happy. Tim and his sister, Kim, loved picking the dandelions and I loved receiving them! You have a precious boy that loves his Mama!God blessed you with Luke!

And a beautiful smile Luke has....and I can just see the smile on yours when he gave you those beautiful 'yellow' flowers.
ReplyDeleteI love his creativity with the chalk...

He is so cute and my grandson also loves to play in the sandbox with those big trucks. It is nice to see the creative minds of the young.
