Thanks to Pinterest, I’m finding the coolest ways to repurpose items into cozy lighting! I had to create a board especially for my finds because, of course, I hope to use some of these ideas someday.
But for today, we’re just going to ooh and aahh…..at least I am. Maybe you’ll get to making or purchasing one of these before I do, and if you do, I’d love to see it!
Are you ready? Here we go…….
How about lighting made from a colander? Just imagine the designs that will be cast on your ceiling!

Or terra cotta pot pendant lights?

Or galvanized bucket lighting?

Funnels……..oohh......these are really rustic……I can imagine one hanging over a kitchen sink in a primitive or farmhouse décor.

I love these graters with candles tucked inside for a cozy centerpiece!

I can just imagine this metal basket converted lighting over a kitchen island…….

This would be so sweet in a child or even teenager’s room over their bed……or maybe even on a back porch……hula hoop lighting with Christmas lights……

Talk about repurposing…..this lamp is made from a vintage stovetop toaster and a colander……isn't it great?

And I have a big thing for lanterns……love this for outside lighting…..

Aren’t they all wonderful? Do you have a favorite?

I enjoyed seeing all of these. I have seen the colander ones before. I plan to do that one in my kitchen. I also pinned one where they used dollies to make a shade. I love pinterest. Thank you so much for sharing.

Absolutely love all the Ball jar lights! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteohhhh....ahhhhh...I am with you Tammy. Those are just lovely...with the exception of the old crocks...I almost choked thinking of drilling out the bottom....The rest are amazing..old water pails would look great too. Thanks for taking the time to post and share all those.. I have two big wash tubs behind the shed....Love that idea.. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWow!!! how great are those....love them all really but the hanging funnel is so prim......Will be getting on that as soon as I can and sending it to you, Tammy, wink wink, Francine.
ReplyDeletevery nice selection of options but I believe I would be terribly disappointed to see good yellow ware with holes drilled in it! Maybe some chipped or cracked or reproductions. Did you see the ones made out of Mason jars and solar lights? They take the solar lights apart and hot glue them to the jar. Set in the sun, indoors or out. they make really cute mood lights or night lights.
ReplyDeleteThose are all really cute!
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite is the funnels used as candle holders--sooo cute!
I love all of these lights...so inspiring. Take care, Janice
ReplyDeleteMama,
ReplyDeleteThese are all so cute! :) I especially like the hula hoop/Christmas lights one, and the mason jars and cheese graters. :D
I love these fun posts. :)
Love you! 8!

Thanks sweetie!
Oh how love them all but the colanders are just the most darling things with the little spots they shine up on the ceiling.
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for a hanging lamp for our carriage/family room for months now...all of the punched tin types are so expensive, but this post has inspired me to create something unique. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThere were so many lamps/lights that I liked I can't even name them all. Thanks for sharing, I'm going to pin a few of those to my boards.
ReplyDeleteThese lights are all so nice. I would love to try the old wash tub. Some months back I made one out of the canner rack filled with mason jars for my kitchen. Thanks & Blessings! Lara
