These people are friends of ours. I've been in this one! |
Oh how I'd love to go inside this one! |
Love the narrow farmhouse style! |
See those posts.....they still have the twigs on them! |
Love this lot too! |
I've been in this one on a Christmas tour! |
They have character. They’re charming. They have curb appeal. At least, to me they are all those things.
Yes, there are many styles represented here, but I think each one has character or charm.
They make me want to slow down to take a closer look and wonder if they’re just as charming inside.
Joy was my accomplice on this photo tour. She had the camera. I would slow down long enough for her to snap a picture through the opened window. I didn’t want people to think we were stalking them or staking out their house. She was willing to help out in this way but she established ahead of time that I wouldn’t be knocking on any doors asking folks if I could look inside. Lol! I mean really, would she think I would do that? :)
Here we go again…..please make me feel better and tell me that I’m not the only one that does this……I like to drive around (if I have waiting time as in waiting to pick Joy up or my mom from the doctor), and just admire and enjoy homes .
All of the above homes that you saw are in the general area that we drive on a regular basis and that have caught my eye for one reason or another. They stand out (to me anyway) as having character and charm. They look cozy and homey to me.
I wonder if they know? :)
Oh so fun.
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone.
When I was younger my girlfriend and I would pack up the babies buy a big soda and drive around playing sneak a peek.hehhe
Have a great day!

Hi Tammy, you make me laugh, no youre not alone, when I was living in NC we would go to the beach and through this quaint little town there are these gorgeous, southern homes that I had to have dh slow down at each and let me take a photo, along with old churches and barns.... I love them.. I love to drive at night and look in the windows He he he..

My daughter thought I was the only one that liked to drive at night and slow down as we go by and look in the windows. I'm always curious as to how others live. Their decorating, how big their families are. etc. I learn from others. Sneak a peek. I think it's fun!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I like to ride around at dusk so I can see the furniture inside, too!!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are all very beautiful. The homes look very lived in and loved!
aww so much fun..
ReplyDeletecount me in too ..lol..
you are not alone..
i also love to drive at night and look in the window.. sometime sticking my nose with the window and looking out..and hubby driving..lol..
love for you xxx
You are not alone. I love to take a drive and see things. There is so much inspiration in doing this! (Well, as long as you don't let it make you feel discontentment!)
ReplyDeleteOne spring I had a couple of women stop and take pictures of my tulips. Talk about a boost!
Have a great day!
Goodf Morning Tammy, love the home tour, I agree, they all have charm. I also love to drive down streets and look at the different homes, guess I`m a little noisey that way but like to see the curb appeal. Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteI'm guilty of this also!
ReplyDeleteI love the charm & character of a particular neighborhood where we live. We dream about living there someday if we could afford it, right?
Tammy, you and Joy are quite the team! I love how she had to lay some ground rules down, though... *hahaha*
ReplyDeleteNo, you're not the only one who "stalks" houses... I do it too! I've even had James take a different route to and from somewhere because there is a house I wanted to peek at!(Now that's pretty sad! haha)
Morning Tammy!
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone, in fact I like to go driving around at night to look into windows!!! My husband knows he needs to drive slower on these drive bys!lol I'm not a peeper just like to see how people decorate! After reading others' comments I guess I am not alone on this.
Really pretty houses - I love the mature trees and the manicured lots also.
Have a great day

Oh yes, I do the same thing! I so appreciate curb appeal on a gorgeous home. I like to take walks too so I am able to go more slowly past the homes I admire. I just love to go at night and see a lamp (or now a jack-o-lantern) in the window. It's so homey looking! :)
ReplyDeleteLoved all those cozy homes!!
ReplyDeleteI love driving around and admiring peoples homes and yards. The ones you have shared today are lovely...My favorite though is the Farmhouse style :) Blessings
ReplyDeleteYou are not the only one, I love looking at houses. I have a few I want pictures of too.
ReplyDeleteYes they know because they most likly do the same thing! I do it in the spring for some garden ideas. I love how some people set up their lawns and it all looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteYep, I do it too!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, when you asked "Do you know what all of these homes have in common?", after my quick flash back to Sesame Street, I said... Porches! Heehee!
But yes, character works too!! :)
They all are beautiful.
Hugs,
Tam
What beautiful homes!
ReplyDeleteAll just beautiful and YES...I do this too so you aren't alone.
ReplyDeleteKaren
I like driving around at night and seeing if houses I like have their shades open so I can see inside...a lot do. LOL
ReplyDeleteBe blessed,
Cindi
Good work Joy!
Those were fun to see. Are they all in one town? Such variety! I love the front yard of the first one and esp. like the taupe house with green shutters. I think it is the front fireplace that I like...and the shutters. They all look very homey and comfy.
ReplyDeleteI love each of them as well...you are totally right too..they each have character and charm!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI am with you. I love driving around and looking. You are not at alone.
