I remember well the evening when Colt slipped in the pew beside me at church and playingly said, "I met a girl today......she's pretty and she can sing!" "You've got to meet her".
I did.
That was a little over 3 years ago.
They first met at "Meet You at the Pole". They were both there to perform music at the flagpole (where students gather around the flagpole on a designated day to pray and sing).....she to sing and he to play the guitar.
And here they still are 3 years later........

Christmas 2008
Christmas 2009
I wonder........could this possibly be a little thing called love?

Isn't young love grand! 3 years is a long time for kids to stay together these days with all the outside pressures they face from the world. My son and his girlfriend are working on 4 years this year. Who knows what time will bring for all of them.
Enjoy your week Tammy,
Hugs,
AMY
Wow! There's really something to be said for their 3 yr. relationship!
Seems like both have a good head on their shoulders and their "eyes"
fixed where they should be...
Ya just never know what the Lord may have planned for them.... :)

How sweet they look together and they seem to have some very common bonds, love of God and of Music..how great. I do believe that there is a special someone just for you and it doesn't matter how young you are when you met, you know it.
My Grandson Keifer met a girl when he was going through a very difficult time in his life, he had to decide if he wanted to move to another city with his Dad or stay in his home town with his Mom & friends, I believe God sent Hannah to him to help him just when he really needed her. She really helped pull him through the first year there..he was 14 she 15, that was 6 years ago and both are in college and studying to be nurses and still going strong...
God has plans we don't see or understand sometimes.
Hope they stay as sweet and happy as they are now.

What a cute couple and 3 yrs. is wonderful, it must be "true love"! My son just bought his girl an engagement ring and they are only seniors, but he wants her to wait for him while he's in the Army for 4 yrs....I sure hope she does but that's a long time:)
What a cute couple. My daughter and her husband dated 4 years before they got married. God has a plan for them.
It will soon be time to go to China. I am so excited for you. It will be wonderful bringing your son home with you. He is coming into a great family.
Have a great year and many blessings.

I met my husband in High School. We started dating at 15! This February we have been married for 21 fabulous years.

Hmmm... could be, Tammy. What a sweet little meet cute story.
Awwww...
Sounds serious to me; most marriages don't last that long nowadays! Just encourage them to keep taking their time!

What a cute couple...you never know what God has planned! My dh and I started dating at 16. On the 13th of January we'll celebrate 20 years of marriage.
I guess you can say future daughter in-law. :) They have both grown up so much in the past 3 years. I love Colt's new do.
I know no matter what the future holds it will be good.

they look good together(can you see how she looks like you) they say sons pick girls who resemble their mum?
Oh, how sweet! That last picture of Colt winking while his girlfriend gives him a little smooch is just as cute as can be.
Hmmmm... wonder what the next three years will bring.
Hugs to you~ Birgit
Awww how cute!!
Mom, I love the post. And the ironic part is this is 1 year and 3 months exactly. Well, it would have been yesterday (the 5th) had I not been working and overlapped yesterday with "today." Anyways, I appreciate all the comments and blah, blah, blah. I digress. I might possibly go on for days and hours. Thanks. Love you, Mom!

Tammy, that is so sweet! They make a very cute couple and seem to have a lot in common.
Its wonderful that their faith drew them together.
Have a great week!
Sounds like it!!!
Susan
That's so sweet! They make a cute couple!
Ah I remember the days of being young and in love. They are a cute looking couple. 3yrs is wonderful for a young couple. May they have many more!
Sounds like you all love this sweet girl!
In my humble opinion, it is so much better for young people to find "the one" rather than the whole casual dating thing!
Could be the one!!!!!!
So exciting! And so cute!
I love the seeing the photos of them over the years. Just what you want for your kids too, someone who shares their faith.
Blessings,
Marcia
They certainly are a good-looking couple and it sounds as though they have alot in common. Colt sure has grown over the past 3 years! You must be very proud parents!
